Claire’s fascination with China led to her spending time living in Yunnan province, discovering the beauty of ancient minority cultures and the surrounding countryside. She returns to this south west region of China every spring, and with each trip finds new inspiration for her creativity. Claire continues to strengthen her connections with the local artistic communities in Kunming; this is the capital of Yunnan, situated high on a plateau and known throughout China as ‘Spring City’ because of its beauty and temperate climate.
Claire’s work currently features red coral roses, exsquisite jade and pearls; each piece is personally sourced in the markets of Yunnan and brought back to her London studios where she showcases them in hand crafted silver.
Claire exhibits and sells her work in both Kunming and London.
