Personal information
Booking a Course
When booking a course, we ask you to provide the following personal information:
- To book your place online, we require your name, phone number and email. This info enables us to maintain contact with you throughout your time with us, for example if we need to cancel a course at short notice, and we also use this information to contact you about our other courses, events and opportunities we think you might enjoy.
- For our 10 week courses, when you come for the first class of your course we will also ask for your address and for an emergency contact number. These will only be used in cases of emergency, and we do not keep this information after you have completed your course.
- Our short courses are part-funded, and our partner funders (SALS) require additional personal information to ensure their funding is put to good use. So, when you arrive at Flux for your course, we ask you to complete the SALS enrolment form. Flux Jewellery School never uses this information for any other purpose and we do not retain your personal information longer than required to by our funders. We respect your privacy and we will never share your personal information with any third party other than SALS or unless we are required to by the Law.
By providing telephone or email details, you consent to Flux Jewellery School contacting you using that method.
Signing Up to Our Newsletter
To sign up for our newsletter you’ll need to provide your email address.
You do not need to provide any additional information, however telling us if you live in Southwark enables us to alert you to additional special deals.
You can amend your details or preferences, or you can unsubscribe at any time, directly from any newsletter.
All this data will be treated in confidence and will only be used for the purpose that it is intended. We will won’t hold on to it for longer than necessary. We’ll also ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. You have the right at any time to request a copy of the personal information we hold on you. Should you wish to receive a copy of this, or would like to be removed from our database, please contact us .
Financial transactions
All methods we provide for payments to Flux Jewellery School are PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Compliant.
We use Paypal for online bookings and paypal or Square for in person transactions. Therefore, Flux Jewellery School has no access to any of your financial details.
