Here at Flux Studios we are very proud of Imogen, who has just been announced as the winner of this year’s Bright Young Gem award at the IJL (international jewellery London)
The competition was judged by a panel including Hilary Alexander of the Daily Telegraph, Vivienne Becker (How to Spend it, FT), and Bec Clarke (of Astley Clarke). as well as getting a chance to show at IJL Imogen will be working with Astley Clarke to produce a range of jewellery for their stores.
We’ll be having a party when she gets back to the studio 🙂
Imogen’s other achievements include…
|Imogen Belfield creates bold and beautiful jewellery sculptures for the body, each piece being designed and handmade in the UK. Her experimentalist jewellery takes influence from both architecture and nature combined – from the tallest building to the shyest flower. Working with bronze, sterling silver, rose gold and yellow gold, pyrite and set with porcelain shards or gemstones, all pieces are handcrafted in her South London studio and finished in Hatton Garden.
A jewellery graduate from the Sir John Cass School of Art, Imogen honed her craft whilst completing an internship with renowned jeweller Shaun Leane. During this time she was given the opportunity to help with exciting projects, such as catwalk pieces for collaborations with Leane and Alexander McQueen.
