Bring colour to your jewellery – Master the Art of Vitreous Enamelling with Weixin Huang
Do you need a bit of colour in your life?
As Summer’s vibrant colours give way to Autumn’s warm hues, my jeweller’s eye seeks ways to keep lively those memories of nature’s seasonal beauty…

Such perfect timing then, for us to open our doors for a very special weekend…
We’re delighted to present Firing Colour on Metal, with Weixin Huang.
Weixin Huang teaches the technical aspects of vitreous enamelling techniques to bring colour to your jewellery.
Over 2 days students will learn how subtle changes in process can make dramatic differences to the final colour of the finished, fired piece of work.
Where might this lead you?
Champleve, Cloisonne, Plique a jour, Guilloche, Basse Taille, Sgraffito – there are many ways to apply enamel, and each is an exacting process that takes years to master. But the road to glory must start somewhere… and we believe those first steps should be fun and rewarding…
To get you in the mood, here’s a little taste of where it might lead you…

We’re delighted to introduce Weixin Huang to the teaching team at Flux.
With her specialism in enamelling, Weixin combines beautiful colours with her fine jewellery skills to produce stand-out pieces with hidden depth.

No surprise then that Weixin received a highly acclaimed Bronze Award from the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council this year! (Enamel and Enamel Painting)
Keen to see more? Well, come along to Weixin’s class, when you’ll get a chance to see these jewels in 3D form!

We’ve a few spaces left – read more and book now for Firing Colour on Metal
