Course Description: Design and Make Your Dream Ring! G12. Learn the foundation skills in jeweller making through s series of fun set projects that encourage you to explore and experiment with texturing and shaping metal. Use these experiences to design and make your very own silver ring.
Wed eves, 6-9pm for 10 weeks

The course is presented in 3 projects that develop technical skills while also encouraging experimentation and design development.
- Project 1 – Experimental approaches to texturing and pattern making on metal
- Project 2 – Experimental approaches to forming and shaping metal
- Project 3 – Design and make your ring in silver
By the end of this course you will know how to cut, file and polish metals like copper and silver, texture metal using pressing and punching techniques, hammer and punch sheet into 3d form, permanently join 2 or more elements together using traditional silver soldering techniques, forge wires into unusual and unique forms. You can make your experiments into bangles, earrings and pendants – and you will have designed and made a uniquely you ring in silver.
