– On this 10 week jewellery course you will experiment with numerous fold forming techniques for jewellery. Explore how to fold and hammer sheet to create hollow, light, wearable jewellery. Topics include scoring and folding, fold forming and repousé techniques.
- Project 1 – Experiment with scoring/folding, and fold forming techniques to create 3D forms from sheet metal; design and make a pair of items using your favoured technique.
- Project 2 – Experiment with repousé to create 3D forms from sheet metal; design and make a pendant or brooch using this technique
By the end of this course you will know how to:
Shape metal to create complex 3D forms using a range of techniques;
And you will have produced 3 pieces of finished jewellery and a reference / sample board of pieces that explore forming, folding and repousé.
