DESCRIPTION:Make your own spoon on this two-day workshop.\nTake a look at all the spoons in your kitchen drawer. How were they made? On this 2 day workshop we’ll show you 2 ways to make a spoon. You can then choose your favourite method to make a real beauty to add to your collection!\nWhat will I learn?\nUsing hammers and stakes\, we focus on traditional silversmithing techniques to manipulate copper (and silver) into 3D form. Learn how we stretch\, thin and shape metal to create elegant forms. In the process of making your spoon you will learn how to anneal\, forge\, form and solder.\n\nFor your first spoon we suggest that you work in copper. If you wish to make a silver spoon\, we will also have materials available for you to purchase.\n\nThis course an excellent introduction to working with metals.\n\nThe course fee covers the cost of all materials for making a copper spoon. If you wish to make a silver spoon\, we can supply you with the materials at cost price.\n\nThe course fee covers the cost of non-precious materials\, and you will also be provided with silver to make your ring.
