DESCRIPTION:Intermediate jewellery course: Learn the art of crushed stone inlay to add unique colour combinations to your jewellery.\nBook Now\nThis is a fantastic way to make use of your broken and chipped semi-precious stones! Breathe new life into unwanted beads using these inlay techniques for silver jewellery! Or delve into our selection of material (pearl\, lapis\, turquoise) to create beautiful crushed stone inlay.\n\nIn combination with your existing jewellery making skills\,  you will explore new ways to bring colour and vivacity to your designs. Learn how you can safely pulverise gemstone material and which gems are suitable for the process.  Experiment with ways to give new physical form to your newly crushed material. Make a structure in silver that can be used to contain or combine with this colourful substance.\n\nThe course is presented in short projects that lead towards an understanding of material and technique. In your final project you will design and make a unique piece of jewellery that makes use of your favoured approach to colour\, shape and form.\n\nCourse Dates: 21 Sept -- 23 Nov\n\n \tProject 1 – 2D form (filled\, open cells). Make a pendant with 2 colours of crushed stone.\n \tProject 2 – 3D form. Make a ring with a crushed stone section.\n \tExtension Project - Design and make a piece of jewellery that explores shape\, colour and form.\n\nBy the end of this course you will have a broad knowledge of the crushed stone inlay techniques for silver jewellery.
