DESCRIPTION:Casting Techniques for Jewellery: 2 Day Course (Thu-Fri).\n Book Now\n\n- This 2 day course introduces students to a range of home-studio casting techniques for jewellery and other small accessories.\n\nExperiment with a variety of approaches to casting\, exploring cuttlefish casting\, delft sand casting\, plywood and silicone mould making. Using pewter as our metal for casting we will also look at ways to incorporate other materials into the cast.\n\nYou may also work with silver if you wish\, but you will need to bring your own metal.\n\nIt is anticipated that you will produce a range of progressive test pieces that could form the basis of a charm necklace or bracelet.\n\nTechniques include: Cuttlefish casting\, delft sand casting\, acrylic / ply method of casting\, silicon mould making working with resistant materials to make prototypes for mould making.\n\nMore info will be provided at the time of booking your place.\n\nConcessionary Rates for Southwark Residents apply because of support from Southwark Council.\n\nThis fee includes all non-precious materials for your use.
