Materials for your Jewellery Course

We provide a materials kit especially devised for your jewellery course at the start of each term. This kit is included in your course fee.

You may need to purchase replacement sundries or materials for your jewellery course. Here is a list of commonly required materials for our courses.

Beginners: Things you’ll need:

Piercing saw blades, sold in packs of 12
Thick blades – size 1 (cuts 1.5 mm to 1mm thickness metal)
standard blades – size 2/0 (cuts 1mm to .7 thickness metal)

Drill bits – useful sizes: 1.5mm ø, 0.8mm ø

Copper sheet
0.9mm thick sheet, 150mmx 10mm

Solder for sterling silver:
Easy solder
Hard solder

Permanent fine liner pen

Wet and Dry papers:
Grades: 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200

Intermediate & Advanced: Additional things you’ll find helpful:
