This weekend we are running the long awaited ‘Boxes and Lockets’ course (SO3a), with our specialist guest tutor Ray Ashley.

Times: 10 am – 4.00pm
Course costs: £150 (including a light lunch)

This course requires intermediate skills in jewellerymaking to make best use the techniques involved

Course details: Students will be introduced to a variety of approaches to creating boxes and lockets before  making a box with a hinged lid.

Techniques include: box making and how to create hollow forms; scoring, folding; hinges and clasp making; making a lid that fits.

Sheet copper and gilding metal will be provided; students wishing to work in precious materials must purchase their own in advance.

The course fee includes the use of non precious materials, and a light lunch of vegetarian soup and bread
