This is a piece of Vicky Forrester Jewellery which was exhibited at the recent Flux Studios open day. Vicky has specialised in woven silver jewellery techniques for some time, having evolved her own technique for creating three dimensional forms from sterling silver wires. This approach to hollow forms, and the aesthetic sensibility has informed her design practice, with the techniques evolving to allow for further exploration into form. Latterly Vicky has become interested in developing wax sculptural structures that continue the vessel and containment themes. This piece is woven silver , dating back several years, and is part of her woven collection “Venus”. Vicky is director of Flux Studios and teaches classes in jewellery for all levels from the studio.
